The longevity and commitment of the scheme insurer is critical to its success, to ensure consistent, sustained underwriting and to provide efficient service to brokers.
Whilst our competitors have changed insurers many times over the last 3 decades, we have had a delegated underwriting partnership with QBE since our formation in 1989 - we don’t think there are many schemes that can boast that strength of relationship. We are mindful that any successful scheme must deliver not only competitive rates, but also consistently meet the insurers’ expectations.
This long term approach means we have always been able to offer brokers cover for their clients throughout the peaks and troughs of the underwriting cycle, so you can be sure that when you use us to place your clients’ insurance, the policies are backed by one of the most stable liability insurers in the market.
We have delegated authority from QBE for all our products that they underwrite, but when a risk falls outside of that authority, we have quick and easy access to QBE underwriters as required. The underwriters hold weekly surgeries in our office for our team to discuss the more complex issues face to face.
As at May 2024, QBE have a Standard & Poor financial strength rating of A+. If you would like further information about QBE, visit QBE at a Glance.
We also have some additional products provided by Aviva Insurance Ltd – these are also backed by a delegated authority arrangement. Aviva provide the capacity for our Facilities and Interiors schemes, which have been set up to enable us to expand our product range and allow us to meet the long-term needs of our clients with innovative, customer-focussed solutions.
As at July 2024, Aviva have a Standard & Poor financial strength rating of AA-. For more information, visit Aviva.
Where your clients require higher limits of indemnity and QBE are unable to provide all the capacity required, we have an exclusive arrangement with AXA XL Insurance Company UK Limited who provide excess capacity which follows the unique cover we provide with QBE. AXA XL also underwrite our Airside & Aviation Products Liability cover.
